Debian Application
Application Information
The following page provides details on domains, networks, IPs, hosting services, and content delivery networks used by Debian.
Description
Debian is a Linux operating system and a distribution of Free Software. It is maintained and updated through the work of many users who volunteer their time and effort.

Network Ranges
Debian does not have any defined network blocks. The application is distributed across the individial IP addresses summarized below.
Some applications are deployed across network blocks. Only networks that are dedicated to an application or platform are provided.
Core Networks
Applications are sometimes deployed on partner networks, parent company networks, or regional hosting providers. The following is a sample of Debian IP addresses deployed on this type of network.
Network | PoP | Category | Location | IP | Shared |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Verizon | Core Network | ISP/Telco | United States | 71.163.245.164 | |
AT&T | Core Network | ISP/Telco | United States | 99.127.163.142 | |
Wikimedia Foundation | Core Network | Reference | United States | 208.80.154.139 |
Other Networks
There are tens of thousands of Internet network providers and we make an effort to track as many as we can, but we have less coverage for niche and local providers. The following is a sample of Debian IP addresses on this type of network.
ASN Description | ASN | Route | Location | IP | Shared |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Serverius Holding | AS50673 | 5.255.90.0/23 | Netherlands | 5.255.91.77 | |

Hosting
Hosting vendors like AWS and Microsoft Azure provide cloud-based computing and network resources to deliver applications. The hosting platforms used by Debian are summarized below by geographical points-of-presence (PoP).
Each PoP can host many IPs to deliver an application. A sample IP is provided.
Cloud Hosts | # of IPs |
---|---|
Google Cloud Platform | 1 |
Hetzner | 3 |
Linode | 1 |
Leaseweb | 1 |
Hosting Platform | Network | PoP | Location | Sample IP | IPs |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Leaseweb | Leaseweb | Core Network | Netherlands | 185.17.185.185 | 1 IP |
Hetzner | Hetzner | Core Network | Germany | 159.69.48.177 | 3 IPs |
Linode | Linode | London | United Kingdom | 178.79.145.134 | 1 IP |
Google Cloud Platform | Google Cloud Platform | Global | Global | 34.117.57.3 | 1 IP |
Content Delivery Networks - CDNs
In order to get information to end users more quickly, many applications are distributed from multiple geographical points-of-presence (PoPs) using Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
Each PoP can host many IPs to deliver an application. A sample IP is provided.
Take special note of CDNs that use Anycast technology. Anycast makes it possible to route a single IP address to a variety of different geographic locations. In other words, one global Anycast IP is hosted in multiple geographic locations.
