What's New
Overlay Support
A new overlay mechanism allows integrators to customize and extend the user experience without modifying core data or signature files. This enables cleaner upgrades and more flexible product differentiation.
Group Support
Integrators can now define and filter traffic based on groups of devices or users, simplifying policy application, analytics, and reporting in multi-tenant or segmented environments.
New Runtime API
A new API enables controlled interaction with the DPI agent at runtime, opening the door to tighter integration with management systems, orchestration platforms, and external services.
SQLite Plugin (Beta)
A new plugin provides direct SQLite output support, offering a lightweight and efficient option for local storage, prototyping, and embedded deployments.
Performance Optimizations & Bug Fixes
Numerous optimizations and fixes improve throughput, memory efficiency, and overall reliability, reinforcing Netify 5.2’s role as a long-term support release.
BSD Support
Within the last 12 months, various organizations that rely heavily on BSD (specifically, pfSense and OPNsense) engaged with eGloo, prompting us to invest resources to support a Netify port to the BSD toolchain, including all existing plugins. Open source BSD cross-compiled packages can now be found under the FreeBSD folder for both version 13.2 and 14.
