UDPLite is UDP-Lite, a variant of UDP that lets applications receive partially checksummed, and therefore potentially partially corrupted, packets instead of discarding them. Linux has a native handler for this IP protocol.

UDPLite was standardized in RFC 3828 (2004) for loss-tolerant applications like streaming media over unreliable links, and sees niche but ongoing use.
