Protocol Description
The Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) protocol is used by e-mail clients to synchronize mail from a remote server. Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail for Android, iPhone Mail and many other mail clients use IMAPS for synchronizing mail.
